Synopsis
What happens when something so terrible tears you apart from the inside out?

You become a fragment of yourself.

On the right path to achieving her hopes and dreams, Campbell Stevens has always been a model student. The first time she lets loose during her senior year of high school, she loses everything.

Living in a nightmare after surviving the most traumatic event, Campbell learns to be content by walking through life single and unattached, free of the uncertainty that relationships bring. She isn’t looking for love. In fact, she goes out of her way to avoid it—that is, until she runs into Deacon Montgomery, a kind and handsome Chicago firefighter. She denies her instant attraction to him, only making him more persistent in his pursuit of her. Despite her desire to be with Deacon, Campbell is too damaged to share herself with anyone else.

Life left Campbell shattered. Can Deacon help put the fragments back together? Or will she forever be broken?

Excerpt
Excerpt 1:
“Why are you so nice to me when I keep pushing you away? Why do you keep trying? I’m broken, Deacon. Don’t you know what's good for you?” Campbell pleads.
“Yeah, I do, and it’s you. I want all of you, and if you are broken, I want all those shattered pieces, too. Please just trust me.”

Cam’s eyes fill with unshed tears as her bottom lip quivers. I grab her head on either side, running my fingers through her hair, pulling her toward me, bringing her mouth to mine. I feel her lips quiver as I taste her, ravishing her mouth. Cam’s hands wrap around my waist and she runs her fingers up and down my back. I explore her mouth, my tongue greedy to touch every part. She whimpers, and my dick throbs in a needful plea.

Fuck, I want this girl.
Excerpt 2:
With a half sob, I scream into the air that's charged with the scent and flavor of sex, like an electrical storm of raw pleasure. I feel the warmth flush through my body and I lose my mind to the pleasure it brings. Deacon continues to taste below as he holds my quaking thighs. The ecstasy exits my pores, leaving my skin covered in head-to-toe goose bumps.

My shaking finally starts to slow as Deacon’s tongue mirrors the decelerating cadence. I breathe in and out, deeply trying to regain my equilibrium. My skin glistens with a thin sheen of sweat, my heart racing while my mind and body are in a post-orgasm utopian fog.

What the hell was that?

Introducing PIVOT AND SLIP by Lilah Suzanne

Pivot and Slip

by Lilah Suzanne
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
Former Olympic hopeful Jack Douglas traded competitive swimming for professional yoga and never looked back. When handsome pro boxer Felix Montero mistakenly registers for his Yoga for Seniors class, Jack takes an active interest both in Felix’s struggles to manage stress and in his heart, and discovers along the way that he may have healing of his own to do.
Faced with the ghosts of his athletic aspirations, can Jack return to his old dream or carve out a new path, and will their budding romance survive the test of Felix’s next bout in the ring?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

EXCERPT

Jack got down on all fours, shifted back with his arms out in front of him and popped his hips up high, stretching his legs out straight. So maybe it was a little difficult to hold his head up high when it was hanging upside down between his arms, and he could possibly have picked a better position than one that had him sticking his—

Felix made a choked-off noise next to him and Jack angled his head slightly to see what was wrong, worried that Felix had hurt his back by not doing the pose correctly. But he was still hunched on the mat watching Jack demonstrate the position, hands clenched, eyes wide and fixed unmistakably on Jack’s ass where it pushed up into the air and—oh.

Oh.

Jack wanted to preen a little, but that was unprofessional, of course. Not to mention a little tacky and vain. But if he swayed his hips just a bit more than was necessary while walking up to the front to dismiss everyone, well, he was just energized after a good session, was all.

He stood by the door, a constant stream of Goodbye and See you Tuesday and Murray stepping in close to say out of the corner of his mouth, “I may be losing my hearing but I sure ain’t blind,” with another wink as he passed by. And while Jack gaped after him, trying to figure out exactly what that was supposed to mean, Felix stopped in the doorway, nervously rubbing the back of his neck.

“Sorry I’m so hopeless,” he sighed.

“You are not hopeless, Felix.” Jack’s fingertips settled on Felix’s forearm before he caught himself and pulled back. Felix was obviously not what Jack had assumed, but still. There were lines. He was a student. “You just need to relax.”

“Yeah, I… struggle with that. A bit.” Felix scrunched his nose up and Jack just barely resisted the urge to bop it with his index finger.

“Well, I’m sure I can find a way to loosen you up,” Jack replied, then cringed at Felix’s startled expression. Way to not the cross the line there. “I—I mean. You’re so tense and I can help you out. Not help you out. Relieve the tension. Not like that! Oh, God. I’m shutting up now.”

Introducing R.M. ALEXANDER

R.M. Alexander
Veil of Secrecy and The Right One
Double Tour
Release date July 29th
UF/Thriller
Contemporary Romance

Blurb for Veil of Secrecy (Shadows, #1)

Rachel Brackett arrives in Sullivan, Montana with simple goals: relocate, settle an estate, and manage her own antique store. Her parents and friends back home called it running away. That’s just fine with her.

Rachel’s curiosity leads her into the forest, and she finds creatures who know more about her ominous heritage than she does. The creatures only exist in nightmares – grotesque mutants and shapeshifters. They seek vengeance for hideous crimes in genetic engineering, and Rachel is the prime target for retribution. While Rachel searches for the truth behind the family she never knew, a bounty hunter stalks her every move. Only Leonardo, a figure shrouded in the shadows, offers protection. A were lion with the perfect blend of human and feline features. Terrifying. Impossible. Alluring.

When Rachel’s home is ripped apart and a friend attacked, it’s clear there is no safe haven. She is no longer running from her past, but trying to survive to make it to her future.

Excerpt from Veil of Secrecy:

“My name is Leonardo. Please, do not come any closer.” The voice changed locations without stirring a single branch or crackling a single dried leaf.
Rachel turned, scanning her surroundings. “Why won’t you let me see you?”
"Do you need to see to know you are safe? Is it not enough that you are well after hours of unconsciousness?  Surely, if I intended to harm you, I would have done so already.” Without menace, the voice changed locations again, now almost directly behind her.
Rachel turned, scrutinizing the fading shadows for an outline, a hand or foot, anything to provide a hint of identity. “Yes, but then, how can I thank you for saving my life?”
“There is no thanks needed, but you have just done so without seeing me at all.”
Rachel glanced to the trees, noticing for the first time the tanagers and morning jays no longer sang. Only stark silence, a forest frozen with anticipation. Rubbing her arms, she dropped her gaze. Why does it feel so hard to breathe?
“You should leave now. There is nothing to fear in the sun – the Others hunt only at night.”
“The Others?” She slowly rotated, waiting for an answer or a clue, wondering if she was speaking to a ghost.  She almost smiled at the absurdity of the thought.
“Go south, following the slope. The thickness breaks in a couple miles. When it does, go east along the stream. You’ll come across a marked path which will lead you home.”
Rachel’s stomach swelled into her chest. “How do you know where I live?” Watching her, following her, made him a stalker. A threat.
A charged lull passed. “Do not come into these forests at night.  They are not safe.  And I can not guarantee your safety.”

Blurb for The Right One:

Big dreams take strength and determination.
Cami Lockhart’s dream is on the verge of becoming a reality. Lockhart Sanctuary, a refuge for abused and confiscated cats, is what Cami has worked for her entire life. But a dream that big requires a daily commitment. Cami yearns for someone to share the dream with, and knows everyone in town thinks Alex is the perfect man for the job. There’s one problem. She wants fireworks with every kiss, not just a friendship with a hint of something more.
Sometimes what you wish for is closer than you think.
Alex Reynolds shares Cami’s passion for the sanctuary, and at her head ranchhand, spends every day helping her dream come true. He longs to tell Cami she’s held his heart since childhood, but losing a lifetime of friendship is a big risk to take. Being by Cami’s side at the sanctuary is better than letting go, but Alex knows someday he’ll want more.
Risk losing everything or fight for the dreams to come true.
The sanctuary is put in jeopardy when ignored threats take a painful turn. Cami and Alex must each chose to stand and fight, or lose everything they dream of.

Excerpt The Right One

“Hey Alex! Which way are we going with this?” Mason, the youngest of the crew at only twenty-four, interrupted the tirade of thoughts, the final roll of fencing forcing a heavy lean.
                He pointed westward. “Head out that way first, then we’ll wrap back around.”
                “What’s the story between you and Ms. Lockhart?”
                “There is no story. We’ve been friends nearly our entire lives.”
                “You’re lucky man. She’s sure something to look at.”
                Alex’s nerves pricked. “And your boss. Remember respect.”
                Mason grimaced as he concentrated harder than needed at the fencing. “Sorry. Didn’t mean nothing.”
                “Maybe not, but keep that kind of talk for some place else, not here.”
                “Sorry,” Mason repeated and then fell silent.
                Alex sighed. Time to start dating again. Cami wasn’t the right one, despite how he felt about her. If she was, she’d be his. Playing the field would help him find the one, whoever she was. Then he could settle down, start a family.
                And there was nothing wrong with always being there for a friend.

On the Ropes – Christa Cervone
***Author's note*** This book is not recommended for readers under the age of eighteen, due to strong sexual content, language, child abuse, and drug reference. Also, this is the first book in a series.

A murderer’s child…A foster child…A troubled teen…Gabriel ‘The Saint’ Vega has never had an easy life. Being shuffled from one foster home to another after his father murdered his mother, he found himself in and out of trouble with the law. Never giving a damn about himself, let alone anyone else, his life was spiraling out of control; fast. Until one man and one sport changed everything.

Frankie Carbone taught Saint how to handle his anger and rejection; by fighting it out in the ring. On his way to stardom, Saint finds himself pushed into the spotlight and into the arms of more women than he can ever imagine; he’s completely content with one night stands and random sex.

Then Salem Harris comes walking into his life and changes his game plan. Saint finds himself wanting Salem in all the ways that scare him. She is off limits; taken. But that doesn’t stop Saint from going after what he wants, and he wants her.

Frankie showed Saint a new way of life with Boxing, but will Salem give him the one thing he's never known – love? Will Saint find himself fighting for the one thing he thinks he doesn't deserve or will Salem end up breaking his heart? Gabriel ‘The Saint’ Vega has had to fight for every good thing he's gotten in his life.

After being assaulted, she's realized that she needs to change and college is just the place to do it. Nobody knows the Ashley she used to be and she'd like to keep it that way.

Afraid of falling into the same patterns she decides that having no friends, no life and focusing on school is the way to go, but she didn’t bank on someone like Mac as her roommate or the tall, dark and completely geek hot in his glasses, Zeke Whitman.

Ezekiel (Zeke) Whitman is driven and focused when it comes to school. When he's forced to partner with a tall, leggy blonde with a slight attitude, he's thrown for a loop. With so much at stake, Zeke can’t afford distractions and Ashley is certainly that. From their first encounter Zeke sees more than just another gorgeous girl.

There, Jules helps her get a job at Entertainment Atlanta, where she works as an entertainment insurance agent. It’s not Scarlett’s dream job, but it’s better than not having a job at all, and who would mind working with famous people, right?

Then she gets assigned to EA’s newest client, Kade Evans, rock star turned actor. Not only is he a drug addict, he’s also known for never dating the same girl twice. He’s tall, dark, and handsome, has an amazing voice, and good acting skills, but he’s also arrogant and intense.

At their first meeting, the chemistry between them is undeniable.

The love that comes later is unexpected.

But Kade’s life is full of secrets. His past has now intruded on his present and when Scarlett finds out what his secrets are, the real deception begins.

Isabel Lucero – Living in Sin
**This story contains graphic sexual content and strong language. Intended for mature audiences only.**

Jace Jamison is every woman’s fantasy. He’s a mysterious businessman willing to sweep you off your feet, a tattooed bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks, and a sexy friend you want to take that next step with. Jace is everything and anything you want him to be. He’s a highly paid escort.

But nobody knows who Jace really is; the man whose dad abandoned him, whose brother was killed, and who had to take care of his mom at a young age. At the age of nineteen, he was living in Sin City, ready for a life away from stress and struggle.

Adrienne has been having a sexual drought since she broke up with her boyfriend. Even then she wasn’t getting fully satisfied. Being an event planner, she’s constantly working at numerous events. Several times she’s seen a man she can only refer to as the God-like creature at her work functions. He’s devastatingly handsome, tall, and has beautiful eyes, but he’s always with a different woman. The last thing she needs is another player in her life.

After a few chance encounters with Jace, her best friend convinces her to just get some good sex out of him and not worry about who she’s seen him with. But what happens when she finds out that he isn’t dating these women because he wants to, but because he’s paid to?

Keeping his job a secret from Adrienne seems easy at first, but when she begins meeting people he knows in his escort life, and they begin getting closer, he knows he has to tell her before someone else does.

When their worlds entwine, and confessions are made, will they be able to work through it? Will she be able to push aside his sins and focus on the good in him? Will Jace get what he’s never had? A woman who wants him despite what he’s done. Or will living in sin cost him what he never knew he wanted?

Whitney G – My Last Resolution (bonus novella)
My boyfriend is an asshole.

A pure, one of a kind, I-wish-I-was-making-this-up asshole.

Every year, I write "Dump his ass" as my most important resolution, but I've never done it.

Until now.

Well, kind of ...

Instead of showing up to our "secret" engagement party, I've shown up to the airport--ready and willing to go wherever the next flight is bound. Determined to keep and fulfill all of my resolutions, I'm proud of myself for finally striking out on my own.

Until I never make it to my final destination. Until the sexy stranger who sat next to me on the plane changes everything. Until my "last resolution" is fulfilled a lot earlier than I thought...

A talented singer, who once dreamed of pursuing a career in that field, she has put that goal aside in exchange for her writing.  A self proclaimed geek, whatever spare time she has is spent curled on the couch reading and listening to music.

Megan Noelle
I am Megan Noelle! I have been writing for many years and currently have two books out that are part of a series. My For You series were the first novels I published but I had to stop everything to write Stefan and Grey’s story in, A Broken Forever. I have been writing since I was old enough to hold a pen and finally pursued my dream of becoming a novelist.  Writing is my passion and I am all for following one’s passions! One of my other passions is being a mom of my adorable daughter Peyton. When I’m not writing I’m a stay at home mom and a full time student. I’m getting close to finishing my 2-year degree and I am more than ready for a break.  There are many things I want to do in life, but if I can write, be with my daughter and my family—I will be happy!
5 *NEW* Random Things You Don’t Know About Me!
  1. I have recently retired my love for Diet Coke and focused solely on Diet Pepsi. And yes, I know all about aspartame, and all that bad stuff. But, it’s delicious.
  2. I would someday love to write a book that Tim Burton wants to make into a movie!
  3. I have an unfailing love for many movies I watched growing up (not just Disney) and it is very difficult for me to like anything new. Some of my favorites set the bar too high apparently! (When Harry Met Sally, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Father of the Bride Part I & II, & many more!)
  4. I have a horrible wonderful addiction to book covers!
  5. I have more story ideas in my head than I will ever be able to write.

Mary A Wasowski
I call New Jersey my home where I live and share my life with my husband Henry, and our three sons. Every day is a busy one around the Wasowski home. We are all running in many directions, but at the end of the day we come together as one.
To write my first book was an accomplishment I never thought would be realized.  Dreaming of it and actually doing it are two very different things.
Writing has changed my entire life. It brings happiness and fulfilment to areas in my life that I didn’t even know were missing. It’s also one of the hardest jobs that I have ever done. It takes me away from my family, friends, and the little day to day tasks that once upon a time seemed normal. Now I have a writing cave. What the heck is that? Well it’s my second home where I write my heart out and hopefully produce something that will make many people smile.
Chasing the dream...one book at a time!
