Echo of an Earth Angel

Echo of an Earth Angel
by Sarah M. Ross

Another great book from a very talented author! Once I picked this up, couldn't put it down. What I really enjoyed was the pride of her hometown shown countless times throughout the book.

Echo of an Earth Angel introduces us to Tessa, an 18 year old girl who should have died a year prior in a shooting at a gas station, but instead, was saved by a rogue Healer angel, David. While healing her, David went a little too far and as a result, turns Tessa into a Healer Angel just like him. Tessa starts realizing something is seriously wrong with her when her hands start glowing, and David knows its time to tell her the truth. What follows is a series of events that should have never happened because Tessa should have died as well as events that maybe are just a result of pure Destiny. We'll just have to wait to find out when the next book in the trilogy is released this winter. Well done Sarah! Well done!

Forbidden Touch

Forbidden Touch
by K.S. Haigwood

I really enjoyed this book. It's filled with many twists and turns that always leave you wondering "What could possibly happen next?". Ciera is a 300+ year old vampire who has been watching and secretly helping homicide detective Mitch Foley solve a serial murder case, only Mitch has no clue about Ciera's help. After a month of hiding in the shadows, Ciera is forced to reveal herself to Mitch, putting both of their lives in danger. While on the run from not only the cops who have made Mitch the prime suspect in the very case he's been working, but also from her family that wants them dead, Ciera and Mitch fall deeply in love, discovering that they are soulmates. But can someone have two soulmates? An unexpected turn of events seperates Ciera and Mitch. During their seperation, certain events take place that alter the relationship between Ciera and Mitch and their uncertain future. This is a great story of love, tragedy, and hope. A definite Must Read!

Torn

Torn
by Christine Hughes

Torn is quite simply amazing. Hughes holds your attention from the very first chapter, dangling you with suspense and anticipation.I could literally feel the emotions that Samantha was emenating just pouring off the pages. You really have to feel for Sam as her life as only she knows it is yanked away from her and she's thrown into a battle between light and dark with Samantha being smack dab in the middle. She deals with love, loss, betrayl, grief, and transformation in such a short period of time, you wonder how she can handle it. But she does, the only way she knows how. I found myself becoming angry right along with Sam as she discovers the biggest betrayl of her life. Amidst the chaos, Sam finds strength through her growing love for Ethan. They are both fighting the feelings they have for each other while also fighting the darkness they were both born into. When they're both betrayed by the person that they least suspect, the battle to balance the light and dark takes precedent over the love that they can't ignore. Hughes leaves you on the edge of your seat as one battle ends and the war continues. I can't wait for the sequel!!!!

My Killer My love

My Killer My Love
by Mona Karel

First I have to say that this book was absolutely awesome! It brought up so many emotions within myself; sadness, hope, joy, anger.Kendra's character really resonated within me. I could identify with her on so many levels; the lonliness, poor self-esteem, the feelings of not being worthy of love, the physical pain she endures and lives with daily. I don't recall anytime in the book where she even complains. Her misfortune makes her a stronger woman, stronger than she even realized within herself. When Mykhael appears in her life, it gives you hope that this young woman can rise above the negative forces that have plagued her life. She handles her misfortunes with grace and dignity. When her cousin Clarissa plots to sell the cottage and land that was left to Kendra when her Gran unexpectedly passed away, Kendra, with Mykhael's encouragement, stands up to the pushy Realtor and refuses to be forced into selling the land. Kendra recognizes that Gran's cottage and the surrounding forest are special and are to be protected at all costs. Though Mykhael was sent to punish the owner of the land for defiling it, he quickly realizes that it was Clarissa who defiled the land and not Kendra. But the Atrahasis don't care. They just want someone punished for the defilement. Mykhael faces a hard decision when he realizes that he cannot harm Clarissa either because that would in turn hurt Kendra. He goes against the Atrahasis by refusing to complete the mission he was sent for. During their time together, Kendra and Mykhael fall in love. Their love affair is passionate, yet tastefully described. I know for myself, I was really rooting for this unorthodox couple to make it, to be given the chance to let their love flourish. Karel really leaves you on the edge of your seat until the very end, wondering if these two have what it takes. This book is a must read for anyone who wonders if hope can be restored after tragedy.

Save my Soul

Save my Soul
by K.S. Haigwood

This is one of those books where you really wish the outside world would stop disturbing you because once you pick this book up, you can't put it down. Kendra is a 29 yr old freelance photographer with a great big house she had custom built on the outskirts of town. ( I so want this house btw). Kendra is in an accident while repelling off Dead Man's Cliff and falls to the bottom of the ravine. She's rushed to the hospital where Dr. Adam Chamberlain fights to save her life through emergency surgery. During the surgery, Kendra dies on the table twice. After bringing her back for the second time, Kendra's condition stabalizes. Throughout the entire ordeal, Kendra is consciously aware of what is happening but she doesn't understand how she can hear everything going on around her. While Kendra is in recovery, still physically unconscious, she hides within her mind, alone with her thoughts, or so she thinks. Her gaurdian angel Rhyan makes his presence known, as well as Dr Chamberlain's gaurdian angel Coen. Together, the angels inform Kendra that they will heal her completely and allow her to go back to her life IF she can save Adam's soul within 1 week. Coen explains that Adam's soul is lost, that he is a disbeliever in God and needs help finding his way back to the good side. Although reluctant that she can actually help Adam, Kendra agrees to try. Afterall, it's only her life on the line. When Kendra made the deal with Coen, she didn't realize just how difficult the task would be. Save my Soul is filled with one suprise after the next, suspence, and love. I generally don't like books about religion, but I didn't feel this book was religious. It was more about good vs evil, choosing what's right over what's wrong. When a book can evoke multiple emotions out of you, you know it's powerful. That's what Save my Soul did for me. I laughed, I cried, I yelled, and I got angry. My heart skipped a beat then started pounding in my chest. I felt joy and sorrow. And in the end, I felt peace.
